Painter of peace

I feel great peace when walking in nature and my work seeks to convey this sense of calm.

Based in Saltaire and surrounded by the stunning Yorkshire countryside, I create abstract landscape paintings that capture the emotional essence of place. Rather than recreating a scene exactly as it appears, I aim to express how it feels — the mood, the memory, the atmosphere.

With an intuitive and reflective approach, I let the landscape speak through me. Each piece often begins with a feeling or a fleeting moment. I strip away unnecessary detail, focusing instead on bold shapes, subtle textures, and carefully considered colour palettes that evoke space, light, and emotion.
